1. Seller
You buy the course from Hyperity AB, company registration number 556911-5719, info@hyperity.com. SeoulNova is the brand under which Hyperity AB runs its Korean courses. The same details are at the bottom of every page.
2. The courses
SeoulNova teaches Korean online. Lessons are held live in Zoom, in small groups. Each course page gives the number of lessons, their length, the maximum number of participants, and the dates and times. Most courses have 75-minute lessons. Teaching is in English, and the material is in Swedish and English.
For much of each lesson you work in small groups of two to four people in Zoom's breakout rooms. Between lessons you do short homework tasks on the site.
The courses train you to handle everyday situations in Korean. They do not prepare you for TOPIK and do not lead to a TOPIK certificate.
3. What you need, and how lessons work
- A computer or phone with a camera and microphone, a stable internet connection, and Zoom.
- Your camera must be on in the small groups. In the whole group it is the norm.
- Group sessions are not recorded.
- If you miss a lesson, there is no replacement lesson and no refund for it, because lessons are not recorded. The lesson's material and homework stay on the site, and you can ask the teacher about what you missed.
- You make your own voice recordings for the exercises on the site, not in Zoom. They are yours. We use them only for your teaching, and in marketing only if you have expressly said yes.
- We treat each other with respect. You do not record, photograph or share anything from the lessons, nor other participants' names, images or voices. If someone disrupts the teaching or offends someone else, the teacher first tells them. If it continues, or if it is serious, we may exclude that person from the rest of the course. We then refund the part of the price for lessons not yet held.
4. Price and payment
- The price is on the course page, and the price shown there when you enrol is the one that applies. Prices in Swedish kronor include 25 % VAT. On the Norwegian pages the price is in Norwegian kroner. The price on the course page is what you pay, with no fees on top.
- The introductory price applies to the cohorts named on the course page, and the regular price applies after that. For example: "Introductory price SEK 2,790 for the January–March 2027 cohorts. Regular price SEK 3,190 from April 2027."
- The alumni price is a conditional price for people who have taken a course with SeoulNova. Checkout shows the regular price, so write to info@hyperity.com once you have enrolled. We check that you have taken a course with us and refund the difference within 14 days.
- If you enrol in Survival Korean within 30 days of Korea-Ready Kickstart, what you paid for Kickstart is deducted from the price. Write to info@hyperity.com once you have enrolled, and we refund what you paid for Kickstart within 14 days.
- You pay by card, or with any other payment method shown in Stripe's checkout, when you enrol. We never see your card details.
- Your place is held for 60 minutes while you pay. It is yours once the payment has gone through, and you then get a confirmation by e-mail. Stripe e-mails you the receipt. The receipt and your bank statement show the payee as Hyperity AB, followed by SEOULNOVA for card payments.
- We offer invoices, for example to companies, by agreement. Your place is then held for 14 days, and the invoice must be paid within that time.
5. How the purchase works
You sign in with a code sent to your e-mail, choose a course session and accept these terms by ticking the box. We record when you accepted them, in which language and which version you accepted. The confirmation e-mail contains the full text you accepted. Your purchase follows that version, even if the terms change later. The purchase is complete when the payment has gone through and your place is confirmed.
6. Right of withdrawal
You have 14 days to withdraw. The period counts from the day the purchase was completed, that is, when your place was confirmed. That day does not count. The period ends at the end of its last day, Swedish time. A last day on a Saturday, a Sunday or a Swedish public holiday moves to the next working day. Midsummer Eve, Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve count as public holidays here too. The last day is worked out when your place is confirmed, and the confirmation e-mail and My courses show it for your purchase. If you live in Norway, the same period applies, and you always keep at least the protection Norwegian consumer law gives you.
How to withdraw. For as long as the period runs, the course has a Withdraw from purchase button under My courses (the Courses tab when you are signed in) and on the course's own page there. You see your name, your e-mail address, the course, the purchase date and the last day of the period. You confirm with Confirm withdrawal, and at once you get an e-mail acknowledgement with the date and time we received your notice. You can also tell us at info@hyperity.com, for example with the model withdrawal form. It is on the page Right of withdrawal and in the confirmation e-mail with our details filled in. If you cancel your place under My courses while the period runs, that counts as withdrawing from the purchase.
If the course starts within the withdrawal period, we ask you when you buy to request expressly that it starts then. If you made that request and withdraw after the course has started, you pay for the part of the course delivered by then. For each lesson held by the time you withdraw, we deduct the price divided by the number of lessons, and refund the rest: one tenth of the price per lesson for a course of ten lessons, and half the price per session for Korea-Ready Kickstart, which has two sessions. If you did not make it, for example because the start was moved into the period after you bought, you get the whole amount back even if the course has started. The confirmation e-mail says which applies to your purchase. More about the right of withdrawal is on the page Right of withdrawal.
Refunds when you withdraw
- Before the course starts, and after it has started if you did not request that it start within the period, you get the whole amount back. If you paid by card, the money goes back automatically to the card or account you paid with, and shows after a few banking days. If you paid another way, we refund you the same way within 14 days of receiving your notice.
- After the course has started, if you requested that it start within the period, we refund what you paid for the part not delivered, within 14 days of receiving your notice. We will be in touch about the amount.
7. Cancelling after the withdrawal period
Once the withdrawal period has ended you can still cancel your place under My courses until the course starts. You get a receipt for the cancellation by e-mail. The money is not refunded automatically when you cancel. We will be in touch and refund you within 14 days: the whole amount if you cancel at least 14 days before the course starts, and half if you cancel later. Instead of a refund, you can move to a later session of the same course at no cost, if there is room.
Once the course has started you cannot cancel yourself, and we do not refund lessons you miss. If you cannot continue because of illness or something else you could not foresee, write to info@hyperity.com. You then get a place in a later session of the same course at no cost, if there is room.
8. Minimum number of participants and cancelled courses
Each course session needs at least six participants. If there are fewer, we may cancel the session, at the latest seven days before it starts. If we cancel a session, everyone enrolled gets an e-mail, including those on the waiting list, and you get back everything you paid. Card payments go back automatically to the card or account. Anything you paid another way, we refund the same way. If you would rather have a place in the next cohort, you get it at the price you paid. If we move a whole session to other dates, you choose between the new dates and getting back everything you paid.
If we have to move or cancel a single lesson, we tell you by e-mail as soon as we can and hold a replacement lesson. If we cannot hold a replacement lesson, we refund that lesson's share of the price.
9. Waiting list
If a course session is full, you can join its waiting list. It costs nothing and is not a purchase. When a place becomes free, it is offered by e-mail to the first person in line, and held for 24 hours while they pay. If you do not pay within that time, the place goes to the next person. The purchase, and the withdrawal period, begin when you have paid and your place is confirmed.
10. Teachers and content
We may need to change the teacher during a session, for example because of illness. Every lesson follows the same model, so the course carries on as usual. The content follows the syllabus on the course page. We may adjust individual activities, but not the course's goals or scope.
11. Personal data
How we handle your data is described in our privacy policy.
12. Complaints and disputes
If you are not satisfied, contact us first at info@hyperity.com. If we cannot agree, you can turn to the Swedish National Board for Consumer Disputes (ARN). If you live in Norway, you can also turn to Forbruker Europa, which helps consumers in disputes with businesses in other European countries.
